Iron Maiden in Kansas City at ComiCon

Lea Haynes-Nicko McBrain-Bruce Dickinson-Tony Haynes

Meeting your idols which I have been fortunate to do over my life can go usually one of two ways. It confirms you are supporting the right people or you get educated to what kind of people they really are. In this case I can tell you it was a little of both with a kicker.

A New Chapter

If you’ve been around Sun Valley Lake for any amount of time, you know one thing—we don’t sit still very long. There’s always something happening… boats going by, projects getting done, or someone deciding at 8:30pm it’s the perfect time to start a “quick” project that somehow turns into an all-night situation.

Well… this is me starting something new! And I am beyond excited about it!

Big news — Jessica Brown Real Estate is now proudly part of Arrowhead Realty Company.

25 Years since Hoisington, Kansas Tornado

25 years ago, on April 21, shortly after 9:00 PM CST, a tornado touched down southwest of Hoisington and moved northeast, crossing West 2nd Street and directly impacting multiple homes. As it tore through residential areas on the south side of town, the storm tracked roughly parallel to South Main Street, one of the city’s primary corridors. A 69-year-old man was killed when his home was struck—he was the father of a friend and classmate.

Building A Brand

Truck & Trailer

Building a recognizable, trusted brand in real estate is no longer optional. It’s foundation business strategy. For Arrowhead Realty Company and Auctions in Shenandoah, Iowa, branding wasn’t just a marketing decision; it was the catalyst that turned an unknown name into one of the fastest growing real estate operations in the state.

Back to MI for the Fourth!

Fireworks, Family and Fun!

There's nothing quite like going home.

Over the Fourth of July, I made the trip back to Michigan to spend some much-needed time with family. It was everything I needed and more. We kicked things off at the Hillsdale County Fairgrounds for their Fourth of July fireworks. Corndogs, fries, fresh-squeezed lemonade, an elephant ear of course, and fireworks lighting up the sky while I sat next to my mom, sister, Cody, Cole, and my wild bunch of nephews and niece. Nothing fancy, just good food, loud booms, and big smiles.

MOVING FUN w MY STEPSON

My trip to PA with Lance to help him transition to CA……

Helping my step son move has been physically and emotional in supporting him in this transition to California and all the stresses of a family death, break up of his marriage, and selling of the home he worked so hard to buy. But without his mom to interject we were able to accomplish the tasks at hand, had great conversations that were sometime sillier than normal and navigating deeper and raw conversations when digging into the reality of the situation.

We had a great play list of music since we are both lovers of music. I’m really glad I had the opportunity to spend time one on one to swap stories, eat good food and just spending time to get to know each other in a way that only a parent can bond with an adult child.

Road House-Jasper MO.

My thoughts below.....

During the Memorial Weekend we traveled South for Family and Friends. On our journey we went to Hoisington Kansas which is the hometown of my wife Lea to visit her parents and also partake in the Memorial Services at the local cemetery with her parents. Her father Larry along with brother Shawn are both ex-military so for the family service really hits a little differently. With that being said we had just a short visit to Hoisington then off to Oklahoma to see our dear friends Stephen and Gina Nation along with Tiffany Sanders for some long needed friend time. We had a great time with the everyone but like everything you need to get home and back to work. So our trip back takes us to this post in where just by happenstance we got off the exit where this brand new RoadHouse (DoubleDeuce) gas station/convenient store had just opened up in Jasper. Now before every one gets too excited not much on the inside screams the movie but it was still cool non the less. This place inside was immaculant to say the least and Im not going to ruin it for people who might travel that direction but inside as you walk to the bathroom you look up and see something really interesting is all I will say:)! I don't believe this was really set up for a destination location but I think for most its still something to talk about. Next time we pass through I know I will need something from this location just to support their endeavour and a movie loved by so many including myself. #patrickswayze #samelliot #arrowheadrealtycompany #iowarealtor #sold #sellland #ownland #travel #missouri #travelmissouri #roadhouse #doubledeuce #imyourguy
