202 E Cedar St, Massena, IA 50853

Property Description

You must see this adorable home to believe it. Nestled in lovely Massena, IA, located just 23 miles from Atlantic, this 4 bed/1 bath home on a 1/2 acre lot is not what you expect, nor is the property. Enter the 3-season porch, then through the main door into the living room where you will find inlaid wooden floors with the original 1800's wide planks as well as skinnier hardwoods. Through a gracious archway is the dining room, flooded with light from new windows to the kitchen beyond. On this level, you will also find 2 nice-sized bedrooms with hardwood floors, a full bath/laundry room, and a mudroom accessible by the side door. The basement is accessible from the mudroom and houses the furnace, hot water heater and electrical box. The kitchen has vintage wooden cabinets in good shape, a breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances, and an attractive retro linoleum floor. There are new windows throughout the main floor. Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms, walk-in closets, and a bonus room for storage or what-have-you. The upper level is carpeted and the walls have newer drywall & paint. This home is a conundrum as it is being sold AS IS, but is fully livable, with new Central A/C system and comes partially furnished. Included are: fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer, dryer, gas grill, 2 year old John Deere riding lawn mower, window A/C unit. Why AS IS? This property has been brought a long way, but there is still work to be done to make this one qualify for financing. Come see.
