Jeff and Debra's commitment to family is evident in the upbringing of their six children: Kathy, Marci, Rachel, Karli, Matthew, and Nicholas. The Shearer family tree has grown, and they now find joy in the laughter and love of their 22 grandchildren, who have become the light of their lives.

In addition to his professional and familial accomplishments, Jeff and Debra share a deep and abiding faith. They are devoted Christians who actively participate in the gatherings at St. John's Lutheran Church in Westboro, Missouri.
