I moved to Southwest Iowa roughly two years ago and have come to call this area home. I hail from Northwest Ohio and lived there the majority of my adult life right up to the point I moved to Iowa. My wife Lea and I wanted to get closer to family in central Kansas but in the real estate market there just weren’t enough transactions to run and operate a solid company. As we researched the area, we found a great mix of home, recreational, farm and commercial transactions that would support a thriving real estate company. This also puts us just four and half hours away from loved ones and that is a quick trip for us seeing our last home in Ohio would take us fifteen hours.
My background I worked in the commercial industries for years along with selling corn soybeans and wheat for an Iowa-based seed company. My passion has always been the outdoors either working with farmers or helping hunters set up farms for whitetail, pheasant, and turkey hunting. This is my real passion and helping outdoorsman reach their goals is what I do very well. I can with my expertise not only set up their farms with food plots and cover is also help put hunters in a position to be successful. Even though this is undoubtedly my passion I also excel in the commercial area of real estate with not only owning commercial property in the past I know what might arise in the transfer of that property. Regular farm sales takes a person that also knows what the American Farmer is going through to stay up to speed in this ever-changing field. Owning and running a farm in today’s world is nothing close to what it was when I was a child and I also thrive in that market with that knowledge. The American Farmer is the backbone of our country and deserves to be represented by someone who understands their plight.
My wife Lea and I are very competitive personalities to the point we do not want the other to beat us. We have a drive in us to be successful and the fire in us continues to burn today. I was fortunate to grow up with a group of athletes back in Ohio where we won a state title in football and were either in the finals or in the final four each year of our careers together. My wife and I are both college-level athletes and like I said previously are ultra-competitive so if you work with us, you get the never-say-die attitude with it.
I can be very professional in appearance and represent a commercial buyer or I can get down and dirty with my rubber boots on to walk an entire property. I’m not afraid to jump in a pen with cattle or hop on a horse for a ride. I am very active in showing whatever a seller has.
